Subject : Need to Know
Parking for the bus: You can park in the PetSmart parking lot where the bus picks up or in the field behind O'Toole's. Please leave the O'Toole's parking lot for customers. PLEASE BE EARLY SO THE BUS CAN LEAVE ON TIME.
Parking at the Parade: There isn't much parking near the staging area. Parking downtown in a garage or lot is a good option. Especially the garage at Pierce and Kennedy. You'll just need to find a way from there to staging.
Uber/Lyft/Other Dropoff info: Street closures are unclear. Delaware Ave. and Arch St. or Delaware Ave. and Cypress St. should be good locations. Publix on N Blvd and Main St. is another option but a longer walk.
Staging: We will be somewhere on N. Blvd. between I-275 and Cass St.
Parade Route & Info: Distance is 3/4 of a mile. It begins on Cass St. once we pass the bridge. We will then make a right on Ashley Dr. and pass the museum and Curtis Hixon Park. Turn left on Madison St. and end at the corner of Pierce St. in front of the Clerk of Courts Building. All should be barricaded. Some of the turns are tight so be cautious.
Parade End: If you parked downtown or are just staying downtown it is best to not get on the float at the end. Just walk at least the last half of the parade. Plan ahead and know where you're going. Once we pass the finish, take a left or right on Pierce St. and walk were you need to go. Those riding the bus get on the float and we'll get you there. PLEASE PICK UP TRASH ON THE FLOAT!!!
